Missed the deadline, but think this is a great idea!  Love the blog posts I have read!  Poignant and important but short and too the point.

May I ask how long it usually takes after submission to hear back? The site doesn’t give an estimate. Thank you kindly :)

  • Lenore Brennan

I was totally down for this until I read the guidelines, and saw that you like unpopular people about as much as ‘Kool Kats’ on Twitter.  I’m guessing that, because I have no idea what that means, I am not what you’re looking for.

    Looks like an interesting site.

    • http://sevensentences.com Geoff Talbot

Lenore totally send us your seven sentences — Just simply saying you don’t have to have huge numbers of twitter followers to get your blog posted.

      Thanks for checking us out.

      Geoff

When I have some time I will write my seven sentences. However, I am neither kool nor Unpopular; well I don’t think I am. :0/ Anyway I can sum my blog up in  a few words, happy, mad, and lots of people say it is hilariousness. So be my judge. :0)

  • John Gill (Gillie)

Ah, sorry, I have just noticed I missed the deadline. Anyway I will keep in touch.  :0/

    THE SENTENCE: Life or Death.

    I sit and wait.
My palms are oceans of regret.
My mouth is desert dry with worry.
My mind races at light speed.
Countless lifetimes of what could’ve been fly by.
    Knowing.
    Not knowing.
    I don’t which is worse.
Sweat scurries down my back like a million baby roaches.
My spine has turned to a blistering tundra.
My muscles are a thousand snapping rubber bands.
My bones are rigid bands of steel.
I see the woman in white.
She hurries towards me like some alabaster harbinger.
Her skirt flaps like the wings of an albino bat with every stride.
I cannot read her face of stone.
    She smiles.
    But her eyes betray her.
“The doctor will see you now.”

I’m sure I could blog about Republicans in seven sentences. To start with Republicans have a warped sense of Patriotism. Now tell me what true Patriot would wear a Flag pin made in China. Oops, maybe Mitt Romney and his campaign crew. I really think the whole motley Republican crew should be put on a slow boat to China. Now when the motley crew arrives in China, they will be greeted and sent off to work in a sweat shop with 125 people assigned to one bathroom and of course don’t forget the barbwire fence for that down home feeling.

    Just Shut Up and Listen

Are you so desperate to tell someone about your business,
product or service and find yourself orating to a deaf audience?

Don’t be the person who talks at you, and never shuts up.

The art of conversation can be a beautiful thing.

You may be able to tweet the tweet, and talk the talk, but
    can you listen?

Actively listen and make a mental note or a real note about
    the conversation.

Just shut up and listen because chances are people will seek
you out to have a conversation.

    Who’s listening?

    • http://sevensentences.com/ Geoff Talbot

Hi Lynne, this is really good and a pointed reminder for all of us to listen!

hating any limits (140 characters, and so on) I’d like to try my ability on this site though. Seven sentences, it sounds interesting.
