The biggest problems in the world usually require creative solutions.
I often have to throw off the temptation to solve a problem by following somebody else’s recipe. Rather than thinking things through or engaging my own imagination, I am tempted to ask someone else for advice, read a book, or I will simply repeat the steps that lead to the problem in the first place and wonder why I am not getting a different results.
If it is your problem then you have to accept that it is your responsibility to solve it.
Getting advice can be a good thing BUT only if the advice engages your own creativity.
There is something wonderful about solving your own problems. It’s called satisfaction.
