How Do You Deal With A Pain In The Ass

Perhaps you’ve heard it said that life would be a bed of roses if you didn’t have to live it with difficult people.

Roses of course grow on ugly thorn bushes.  People (including me) can be real pricks sometimes.

Winston Churchill used to surround himself with very insolent, challenging rule breakers because he believed that it was they who could truly change the world.

Lying in a comfortable bed for too long will make you fat, comfortable and lazy. Perhaps we need to celebrate the difficult people and personalities in our lives and not take their roughness so personally.

Life is a bloody sport  full of arguments, hardships, knock downs and occasional victories. I’m not so sure that is a good thing to want things safe and comfortable any more.

Dr.Henry Cloud recommends us to get a black belt in hate. lol. When we come across these type of people or situations,we should work hard in transforming that hate in to a positive hate. It’s kinda like an oxymoron. But this type of positive hate is an approach that causes leaders to transform the feeling to an action that solves problems, protect things they value, and stand against what you believe in.

What helps me is see the difficult/thorn as a mode of thought…takes it off the person and keeps it in the realm of behavior…can still love what’s inherently good in mankind. but dont have to lean into the thorns in any way. Sooo beyond grateful for all you contribute and happy you’re writing again.
