How To Keep Your Creative Freedom Forever

Imagine.

Nothing.

Nothing, but the joy of being able to create without measure, without inhibition, without financial pressure, without that ever pressing “fear” that encircles us, preying upon our creative freedom.

Enough.

Enough of nothing, enough of sedentary, emasculated, unproductive creativity, that really isn’t creativity at all… BECAUSE… nothing is ever actually being created.

It’s time to stop making excuses, there is a wall that needs to be knocked down, and we all must smash through it everyday.

Fear must be dismembered, piece by piece, day after day, until there is nothing left but our creative freedom.

pure creative freedom

Before I could write, I had to think of anything and everything that has caught my interest. Each love becomes some sort of idea or thread. I can pick some of them and weave a story. Not all threads can be in all stories, except maybe for an autobiography. I also love research. I can write bare bones, but I will flesh out what I write by including as many verifiable facts. This might mean purchasing used books, talking to family members, going to websites to see what experts think, or approaching folks at their place of business (i.e., art galleries). Then I can sit down, write a synopss, and the characters just take over. You have to love what you are writing in order to enjoy it. Editing can be done as you write, or when you are finished. The main effort is to just sit down and write!

Have fun and yes, like in your introductory post of your return, be free to be and share whatever comes to you because there is always someone who needs to read your words.

Great to have you back, and great post to boot!  I have to thank anyone who lays something out like this that reminds me that talk is cheap, and that until I sit at the desk and make something my skills aren’t worth anything to anyone… I appreciate this post and that you’re back to the blog
