Why The Beginning Is More Important Than The End

I have an obsessive preoccupation with the beginnings of things.

I know that whatever I sow or fail to cultivate in the beginning will most certainly manifest itself down the line.

This is not only sobering to consider, but it is also empowering.

I’m reminded, while we cannot predict the future outcome of our undertakings, we can be intentional about how we begin.

Plato’s popular words, “the beginning is the most important part of the work” at this stage of my new beginnings; motherhood, co-owning a business, hosting my own blog and moving our family to a new state are resonant and apropos.

All of our accomplishments warrant planning, calculation, strategy, persistence and pursuit – and what better time than the start to initiate such principles?

What new activities or roles are unfurling in your life and how can a little extra time at the beginning make for a more purposeful journey?
