Oppression is often spiritual and ethereal, a web of lies has been spun around us; lies that keep us passive, ways of thinking that take away our hope and blind us to the actual reality all around us.
We often think we need the approval of others to succeed; we think we require an agent, a manager, an investor or a career break through before our lives will ever take off.
So we negate the power that has put in our own hands, through a false subservience to others?
We all need the help and support of others to achieve our dreams, but we are never called to be prisoner to the lies of an oppressor who will convince you that you are powerless to change your situation.
I’m here to tell you that your creativity doesn’t need to be held captive by the opinions of other people – the spiderweb you see has no power.
