It’s terrifying to be in the hole. You can be in the hole financially, relationally, spiritually or morally. The hole is a very dark place, where you feel like you are completely screwed; that there is no way out… ever.

However, a very tall building requires a very deep hole; in fact the taller the building the deeper the hole.

Digging a foundation is dirty, horrible work; so if you are wallowing in shit far beneath the earths crust, perhaps you should consider the fact that you are a tall building in waiting, and the deep roots of an immovable foundation are being sown into your life. Do not fear, this digging and breaking down was always necessary.
