Being honest is difficult. Why Is it difficult? Some people believe honesty is being prepared to fully disclose any detail to any person that they meet… I am not sure that is wise, I’m not even sure that it would be liberating. I guess intimacy and friendship are journeys into honesty, to the base, to the center of a person.

Interestingly it is the paradoxical tension between truth and lies, openness and secrets that make “drama” interesting to watch. A lot of actors work with “secrets” something (often dark) that their character knows that nobody else knows about. Because the truth isn’t instantly obvious it makes life more fascinating.
