The Pacific Islands have been ravaged by earthquakes and tsunamis and while my thoughts and prayers go out to the people who have suffered so much the whole disaster did raise an interesting question? When the Tsunami warning went out in New Zealand several people went to the beach in excited anticipation…?
It seems to me that there are only two options either the Tsunami doesn’t come and you see nothing, or the Tsunami comes and you see it and you die? Curiosity killed the cat I guess.
There is definitely something in all of us that is drawn to tragedy. I would be lying if I didn’t admit that I have watched videos of the tsunami on You tube. Partly in horror and partly in morbid fascination.
