Today I took a three hour drive south to Taupo the largest lake in New Zealand. When Taupo blew it’s stack many centuries ago they found rock from New Zealand in China, it’s the biggest volcanic eruption in recorded history. It’s also where my mum and dad live. Because nothing particular interesting has happened in my life today I have decided to tell you the 3 best things about being home with the folks…

1. Nothing quite like mums cooking… lamb baa baa
2. Going to watch the Allblacks smoke Springbok in the rugby with me old man… just like the good old days.
3. Remembering where you come from… after all home is where your story begins.
