The internet is changing things; whether you like it or not the internet is changing things.
Yesterday I had an animated online discussion with a friend, who from what I could gather doesn’t really approve of my blogging and internet strategy in regards to marketing our film Lucky & Rich. He wishes (I think) that we filmmakers could just focus on telling good stories in the traditional manner.
But the traditional manner has proven to be a top down, high risk, low return venture for Independent filmmakers. The Internet allows the filmmaker to engage directly with their audience involving them in not just the film but also in the story telling process.
The rules have changed and a new conversation is taking place.
