To some this may sound like a deeply spiritual question, to others it may seem like an unnecessarily serious question, to others still an unanswerable question, and to the dogmatic, a very obvious question… I like to think of it as simply a practical question.
If you want to build a house you need to know where you are going to get the materials, in the same way if you are gong to create, you need to find your source of creativity.
(As a note: and not included in these 7 sentences please do not say “I am not creative.” As a human being you have more creativity at your fingertips than you can possibly imagine. You dream & imagine bad events, good happenings, mediocre life and incoherent ramblings every day. You are simply unsure how to harness your creativity.)
I believe that there is a source of creativity living inside every person, a wild uncontrollable river longing to be released. But here’s the thing this source of creativity is not meant to be confined to the arts.
Cooking, conversation, exercise, emails, relationships, accounting, parenting, travelling, holidays and household chores; anything you can think of? There is instinctively personal and creative way of doing it.
I challenge you to “create” or find a task in life that can’t be done “creatively”. Let me know what it is when you find it…
