I was running through Clapham Junction to catch a train; everybody was walking in the opposite direction. It is easy to move through a crowd when you are going against the grain. You can see which way people are going to move and they can see you.
On another day at Clapham I had to move through a crowd that was walking in the same direction and it was almost impossible to pass. No one could see me coming, they would move and get in my way without realizing. I was part of the crowd and I was forced to move at their speed, and it struck me that life is more dynamic when you move against the grain.
Live differently, look for the opposing view in life and you will be a truly unique creation. There ends the metaphor.
